Give 'Em The Finger

OK, class, here's your quick but info-packed lesson for today on modern politics and the media.

We all know what "the hoax" is, right? The infamous finger-in-the-chili incident? Maybe one would be inclined to view this whole thing in isolation, as a dingbat greedhead woman seeks fame and fortune in the bizarrest of ways. One would be wrong, though...

This sorry affair fits the template of Modern Day Liberalism quite well. Almost perfectly, in fact.

Big business is all about screwing the people.

Their products are shoddy and they only get by because they hypnotize the average consumer with a barrage of ads, all of which are false.

Fast food joints are particularly egregious. Witness "Super Size Me" and similar ilk. The food is rotgut and loaded with empty carbs.

So the mission of the Libs is to tear down, at every opportunity, all makes and manners of Big Business.

Even if their particular claims are a bit, well, LIES...The Cause Is Noble.

And let us not forget the role that Big Media played in this.

Did any of those intrepid reporters check out this woman, and her claim, and show some journalistic responsibility before going to print and the airwaves?

Hell no...HELL NO...because this story was right in line with THEIR view of Big Business too.

So you take the aggrieved party -- never mind that he/she is basically not well mentally -- and add a ton of Big Media coverage, and VOILA! You've got a story.

Never mind the aftereffects. We all know that Crap Is King...give us dirty laundry. It's what the Sheeple, the people, want, after all. They're all a bunch of morons, especially those red staters.

And so what are we left with?

The fast food chain said it lost $2.5 million from the bad publicity.

In the brokerage industry, we've got a little penalty we call RESTITUTION, and we make firms pay it out when they are found to have illegally or unethically scammed money from investors.

Has anyone clamored for restitution in the Wendy's case? No?

Let me be the first.

AP, Reuters, ABCCBSNBC, all those scum organizations, ought to be required to make good to Wendy's, in the amount of 2 point 5 mill.

But that'll never happen...
